Frame Drum! Free presents a versatile platform for both novice and experienced users to engage with an array of frame drums, such as Bendir, Duff, and Tambourine. This application is designed for iPhone and iPad, utilizing advanced technology grounded in years of real-world frame drum expertise.

The app's design mimics the authentic experience of playing a frame drum, featuring eight distinct single drum layouts including Bendir, Dirty Duff, Duff, Frame Drum, Large and Small Frame Drums, and Tambourine. Additionally, users can explore three two-drum layouts—combining Small & Large Frame Drums, Bendir & Dirty Duff, and Tambourine & Frame Drum—with plans for more layouts in future updates.

Noteworthy is the app’s touch sensitivity feature: the volume varies based on the intensity of drumming, reminiscent of actual percussion instruments. Pitch adjustments can be made depending on the area struck on the drum, complemented by realistic graphics that enhance the overall user experience.

Players can achieve realistic rolls by swirling their fingers on the screen, with speed modulation directly correlated to the swirling pace. Other capabilities include adjustable pitch and sensitivity settings, reverb and delay controls, multi-track recording options, and sharing features (available through in-app purchases).

The app also boasts 16 PlayAlong Beats, 22 unique Percussion Beats, and 10 Music Beats for accompaniment, as well as a selection of 25 metronome sounds to facilitate practice.
